When Christopher “Ceej” Jefferson and Terrance Hawes ran for Spartanburg City council seats in fall of 2021,
they both amplified the need for more affordable housing options in the city as a major platform for their respective campaigns.
Though neither won their race, the duo is still sounding the alarm, now tackling the issue of affordable housing opportunities with their own venture. This month, the partners opened Oak & Ave Property Group at 145 North Church Street, a one-stop shop to help Spartanburg residents on the path to homeownership.
